Coming to the Shopify App Store
Same Box
When a customer places two orders to the same address, Same Box finds them, buys one shipping label for both and refunds the shipping they paid twice.
The problem
One customer, two orders, two boxes
A customer orders on Monday, then remembers one more thing on Tuesday. Shopify treats them as two separate orders, so unless someone spots it, you pack two boxes, buy two labels and charge the customer shipping twice.
How it works
Three steps, all inside Shopify
- 1
Finds the orders that ship together
Same Box checks your unfulfilled orders and groups the ones from the same customer to the same address. Close calls, like a slightly different address, are shown for you to decide.
- 2
Buys one label for the box
Choose the group and buy one shipping label for all of it, right in the app. The tracking number goes on every order, without extra emails to the customer.
- 3
Refunds the extra shipping
The shipping the customer paid on the extra orders is refunded to them through Shopify. Untick the box if you'd rather keep it.
Is it right for you?
Who it's for
A good fit
- Stores that buy their shipping labels in Shopify.
- Stores whose customers often order again before the first order ships.
Not the right app
- Stores that buy labels in ShipStation or another shipping app: Same Box buys its labels through Shopify.
- Stores that want orders merged into one: Same Box keeps every order exactly as it is.
Pricing
Billed through Shopify
Pricing will be listed here when the app is on the Shopify App Store. Every charge appears on your Shopify bill; there's nothing else to sign up for.
Questions
Frequently asked
Does Same Box merge or change my orders?
No. It never merges, edits or cancels an order, so your sales, taxes, inventory and reports stay as they are. Each order keeps its own items and gets the shared tracking number when the box ships.
Do I have to change how I ship?
Only for orders that ship together: buy that label in Same Box instead of on the order page. Everything else stays the same in Shopify.
What does the refund include?
The shipping charged on the extra orders, including any tax on it, refunded with a note through Shopify. It happens only when you buy the combined label, and you can turn it off for that box.
How do I see what I've missed?
The Shipped separately tab lists the last 30 days of orders that could have gone in one box but went in several, and how much shipping customers paid twice.
What customer data does it keep?
It reads the orders, names and shipping addresses it needs to match orders, and stores only Shopify order IDs. The details are in our Data Processing Agreement.
